History
The farmhouse was built in the XIX Century. It is a typical Catalan farmhouse of the Empordà maritime area. It was inhabited by farmers who grew cereals until they retired. It is now perfectly restored and carefully furnished. It has been fitted out to receive guests for rural tourism, with specific spaces for cycle tourists and walkers. It is also perfect for people who travel with their pets.
Location
It is located in Sant Pere Pescador, surrounded by apple orchards (the fruits of which are part of the “Poma de Girona” brand), just at the beginning of the “Mig de Dos Rius” Nature Reserve and within the “Els Aiguamolls de l’Empordà” Natural Park, making it ideal for birdwatchers. It has a great diversity of flora and fauna. The GR-92 path passes in front of the property, bordering the River Fluvià and reaching the mouth and beach of Sant Pere Pescador, one of the few on the Costa Brava that are still in a natural state.
Facilities
Mas del Joncar has five bedrooms with bathroom, heating, air conditioning, TV and free wifi connection. Two of these rooms have a terrace. The dining room is very sunny with views of the garden. The living room on the first floor has board games, where you can relax by reading or enjoying nature while contemplating the extensive garden.
